Orange County Paddle Boarding Lessons

At PaddleJoy Fitness we have found that when folks genuinely enjoy exercise they keep up with it.
So the first step is finding out what brings you physical joy.  Across the board people prefer exercising outdoors than in a gym, which is why we start by working out outside.  You’ll find yourself training in the beauty of Orange County.  Think hiking the Laguna Canyon Nature Preserve, paddleboarding in the Back Bay, or jogging around Balboa Island.  Furthermore we also show you how to get a thorough, body workout with little or no equipment.
THE THREE H’S
In our first sessions we teach you about the three H’s:
  • How (to do the exercises)
  • How often (you should do the activity)
  • How to Make Time (when it seems like you can’t spare a minute.)
HERE’S THE CATCH
The catch is that we only accept clients who fit the three points below.  We have a 100% success rate and will never risk our reputation and accept a client who we believe will not be happy with our approach.
Here are the three criteria to be accepted in PaddlyJoy Fitness –
  1. Our first criteria is that you understand and believe that exercising outdoors is as effective as a gym. In other words you must be open to the fact that developing a toned body does not require $30,000 of equipment.
  2. You do NOT believe you must first be in shape before you can get in shape. Getting you in shape is our job, not yours.  In other words, you do not have to clean the house for the housekeeper.
  3. You are not waiting for your life to begin once you get in shape. You must be able to give yourself permission to enjoy the moment and appreciate what you have now.  We believe that you are OK right now and we need you to be on the same page with us.
Why such specific criteria?

Because Lizabet Latvala, our founder has lived your experience.  She was a super-fit trainer, then she gained 100 pounds, and then she lost them using this approach.  She has lived in a body that prevented her from enjoying her life.  This is the source of her passion to work with unfit clients (even 100lbs overweight)  who don’t know where to start or don’t know if they are even ready to get into the best shape of their lives.
